VISUAL ARTS TEAM LEAD
Herb Williams is an American artist represented by the Rymer Gallery in Nashville, where he’s lived and worked since 1998. Though the artist works with many different mediums and materials, he is one of the only individuals in the world with a Crayola account. His artwork holds records with Ripley’s and Guinness and has been placed in many public arenas, such as children’s hospitals, corporate lobbies, museum walls, and the White House. They’ve also reached as far as China, England, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Australia, Croatia, and Japan.
REID SHIPPEN
MUSIC Team Lead
Reid Shippen was born in Milwaukee, grew up in New Jersey, and now calls Nashville home. He is a multiple Grammy-award winning mixer, producer and engineer, as well as an entrepreneur, consultant and business owner with interests including real estate, media & PR, publishing, investment and manufacturing. His engineering and production credits include a wide range of artists such as Ingrid Michaelson, India.Arie, Sam Hunt, Cage the Elephant, Kenny Chesney, Gloria Gaynor, Eric Church, Colony House, Kelsea Ballerini, MercyMe, One Republic and Dierks Bentley. A proud MTSU RIM graduate, he has served as co-chair of the Producers & Engineers wing of NARAS, can be seen on multiple stages and podcasts, has travelled worldwide... and really hates bios.
STEPHANIE PRUITT
CREATIVE WRITING Team Lead
After an initial career in marketing, the native Nashvillian earned her MFA in Creative Writing at Vanderbilt. Pruitt has taught arts education and creative writing at Peabody College of Education, Sewanee University of the South, and as a visiting artist in over one hundred K-12 and community settings. She served as a Commissioner for Metro Arts and is on the Board of Directors of the Arts & Business Council. Stephanie Pruitt is the founder of No Starving Artist where she helps artists of all disciplines make a life and living with their art.
A few of her recent social practice projects include using the arts to repair trust gaps between underserved communities and Metro government, EMBODIMENT at Oz Arts Nashville (transforming a 10,000 square foot warehouse into a multi-sensory poem guests could walk through, touch, taste, and smell) and for the last eight years - curating Poems & Pancakes in her Nashville home with her husband and tech guru, Al.
MICHAEL TULLY
VIDEO PRODUCTION Team Lead
After his directorial debut, Cocaine Angel, world premiered at the 2006 International Film Festival Rotterdam, Michael Tully was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film. His follow-up, Silver Jew, world premiered at the 2007 South By Southwest Film Festival. In 2011, he wrote, directed, and acted in Septien, which world premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was picked up for distribution by Sundance Selects. Ping Pong Summer world premiered at Sundance ‘14; it was distributed theatrically by Gravitas Ventures and is now available on home video through Millennium Entertainment. Don't Leave Home, his latest feature, is currently in post-production, and will be premiering somewhere in 2018. Lastly, Tully is the founding editor of Hammer To Nail, a website devoted to championing ambitious cinema.
